Contests / 2007 / Skin a Scion

Here is my tuned Scion xA and its story...

I didn’t want to just put art on but come up with a story for its existence. The tires are swapped for a larger size for more rubber while the rims were upgraded and then painted black (rims off a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3) for a bit of bling factor. A custom SCION big brake kit…or at least calipers from what you can see are then added. The windows are tinted while the radio antenna is shortened to emulate a fad that many enthusiasts do (especially EVO owners). A carbon fiber hood and side mirrors are added. The hood washers are removed to give a clean install. A set of APR Performance carbon fiber canards and Back wing are also added. A 3” downpipe and Trust Exhaust is then matted to the Scion to let the new turbo system breath (read below for details). Of course the car is lowered using Tein Super Street Dampers to give it a much more aggressive stance and better overall handling. The tail lights and side marker are made completely red to give the car a sportier feel while the headlights are cleared out to get rid of the amber turn signal. Finally, a Golden Eagle tow hook is added to the front because this car would have the GO to go with the SHOW and will be going to the track to show off. Of course, the addition of a Bride Bucket seat and a Takata racing harness will hold you close when your making the corners at high speeds.

As for paint, the car has a light Grey camouflage scheme painted on top of the white base. The arrangement on the back would have been taped off so that when the candy red paint was put down, the white would still show through. A small graphic reading SCION Tuning is at the base of the door to signify that the car is an absolute monster on the road and track. Equipped with a custom HKS stroker kit and engine built by AMS, a GT35R turbo was matted to the engine and tuned using an AEM EMS (in my dreams). Finally, a small Scion xA sticker is added to the back driver side window while my personal decal of the Lion Paw and the number 07 representing my last name De Leon (Spanish for “of the lion”

and the year 2007 is added under the side mirror.

Well I hope you like my story for my design and how it would be if it were real life. This turbo Scion xA would be a force to be reckoned with.
